Thank You for Swallowing is a web-based intersectionalist/feminist journal of protest poetry. We publish traditional and avant-garde forms, including sonnets, erasures, and found works.

We do not read blind and encourage submissions from women, women-identified, LGBTQA, disabled, BAME and writers of colour.

Poetry is a form of protest. So if you’re done with the preconceived notions that hurt all of us, of every colour, gender, sexuality, age, ability, religion, nationality and shape, send three poems in a text file and a short bio to thankyouforswallowing (a) gmail (dot) com.

We no longer accept simultaneous submissions or reprints.

Authors retain all rights after publication, but please credit us.

If we have accepted your work, please wait three months before submitting to us again.

We regret that at this time we are unable to offer payment.

Thank You for Swallowing is a non-profit, volunteer-run organisation so please be patient when waiting to hear from us.
